Tricia Holmes is a film editor with a career spanning 10+ years in features, shorts, television series, and pilots.

Her most recent film, A LITTLE PRAYER (dir. Angus MacLachlan), had its world premiere in the Premieres Section at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival where it was acquired by Sony Pictures Classics, and has since been garnering early 2024 Best Actor Oscars buzz for lead, David Strathairn. Her previous film, THE SAME STORM (dir. Peter Hedges), featured an ensemble cast including Elaine May, Sandra Oh, Mary-Louise Parker and many more. It had its world premiere at the 2021 Telluride Film Festival.

Other works by Tricia include MY FATHER THE MOVER (dir. Julia Jansch), Winner of the Best Short Documentary prize at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival, and the short film, PALM TREES AND POWER LINES (dir. Jamie Dack), which had its world premiere at the 2018 Festival de Cannes.

Originally from Maine, Tricia began her career as an intern for the VP of Post Production at Focus Features. As an Assistant Editor, she worked on numerous films and television shows such as PRIVATE LIFE, THE WHITE TIGER, BEN IS BACK, and THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL, among others.

Tricia thrives on collaboration, and the dedication required of editors. She approaches her craft with the deepest integrity, conscious that the highest quality of art and storytelling cannot exist without it. Her subsequent passions for design, photography, and writing help inform her editing process and better equip her to work towards achieving a director’s vision.

She is currently in the finishing stages of two new features, LOST & FOUND IN CLEVELAND (dir. Marisa Guterman & Keith Gerchak), featuring an ensemble cast including Martin Sheen, Dennis Haysbert, June Squibb, Stacy Keach, and Santino Fontana, and THE TRIBUTARIES (dir. Kat Gueli), starring Catharine Daddario and Kelly Rutherford.
